Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit Line Up Announced

The first round of bands has been announced for the upcoming Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit has been announced.  The festival has been called Moogfest the last three years and is one that should not be missed.

Upon first glance, I am really excited about How to Destroy Angels, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and, of course, Gary Numan.  Also can't wait for Zola Jesus and JG Thirwell, Pretty Lights and Neutral Milk Hotel. Cool thing is there are more to come.  If AC Entertainment adds John Foxx (with or without The Maths), Boards of Canada (new record June 11!), or The The, I will be forever in debt to Mr. Capps and crew.  Even without, I tip my hat to them for putting together such a great event in a fantastic place.

Held in Asheville, NC, at the end of October (October 25 through 27, 2013, to be precise), it is the one festival I need to get to each year.  Everything about it is just first rate.  The city. The music. The vibe.  Check it out if you can.  Tickets go on sale at noon Thursday.  I am waiting with card in hand.

A Little Time Away

Just a heads up for the loyal listeners. After this afternoon's show, I'll be away from the board for a few weeks due to other commitments, but I plan to be back beginning in early July.

Just remember to stay tuned to 91.7 FM WMUH - Allentown for the most musical variety I've yet heard in one spot. I'm always intrigued by the folks that pop up in my time slot.

One last thing, the 23rd Annual WMUH Membership Drive takes place April 22 through 28, 2013. Pick up the phone and pledge a few bucks to help The Only Station That Matters to keep on keeping on.

As our friend Nash the Slash reminds us, "Listen in Safety."
